04-Oct-10 Syed Ali Mumtaz Zaidi as new Project Director, PMU-NPIW
Syed Ali Mumtaz Zaidi, DMG Officer, BS-20 has assumed the charge as Project Director, Programme Monitoring Unit, HQ, National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses here today. Earlier, he was serving as Special Home Secretary, Govt. of Sindh. He belongs to the CSS batch 1986 (15-Common Training Programme) and a veteran bureaucrat having a vast experience of working on several significant field and secretarial assignments at Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh.

09-Jul-10 Chief Secreatry, Sindh meeting to review progress and Recovery of NPIW dues
The Chief Secretary Sindh called a meeting of all DCOs on 9th July 2010 to review progress of NPIW in Sindh with special reference to the efforts made towards recovery of NPIW dues from defaulting watercourse associations. The meeting was held at 7th floor of New Sindh Secretariat building Karachi and presided by the Secretary Implementation, SGA&CD on behalf of the Chief Secretary Sindh.
The meeting discussed at length the progress of recovery drive. The chair impressed upon all DCOs the importance of the task and stressed upon recovery of all such dues by December 2010. In this respect he also set a monthly recovery target of 10% of overall dues in a district, except for those districts where the remaining dues were left to be of less than 5.00 million. They were accordingly directed to clear the remaining dues as early as possible.
